About The Event
Right now many of us are feeling overwhelmed and under-resourced, or just plain tired—and for good reason. Yet within us lies an infinite river of creative energy, if we just know how to locate it.
This event is designed to tap you into your innate knowing and resourcefulness, and draw on that profound wisdom to move through perceived blocks in your life.
Join The Camaraderie and Marisa Handler as she shares with us a powerful guided meditation to help you access deep creative flow. Afterwards, we’ll do some writing and exercises designed to help you bring your visions into beautiful fruition.
Come with a journal and pen, and take a few moments prior to make sacred space (turn off your phone, light a candle, breathe, etc).
Marisa Handler—writer, singer-songwriter, teacher, and coach—is the author of the memoir Loyal to the Sky, which won a Nautilus Gold Award for world-changing books. Her essays, fiction, and poetry have appeared in numerous publications. Marisa earned her MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, and has received many fellowships in Creative Writing, including a Fulbright and an Elizabeth George Foundation grant. She is also a longtime spiritual practitioner—studying and teaching Insight Meditation in retreats and daily life since 2002, facilitating The Work of Byron Katie, and practicing Authentic Movement and Somatic Experiencing. Marisa teaches on creativity, writing, meditation, and transformation at places like Stanford, Spirit Rock, Esalen, and the California Institute for Integral Studies. She also works one-on-one as a coach. More at www.marisahandler.com.
Open to all women, everywhere.
