Remote Conversation Club: Current Landscape of Mental Health

Join us for an open discussion on mental health with two expertly trained therapists, Koren LaVarta and Priscilla Chin. 

This psychoeducational female group will address the most common issues and worries affecting us today. 

This is a chance to explore anything: from dating, to career goals, to the mental health issues that have risen out of the pandemic. This will be a safe space to open up and seek understanding. 

Koren and Priscilla support women of all backgrounds and professions and look forward to engaging with you about what has been on your mind. This is also a wonderful opportunity to get an authentic insight into the experiences of your peers, in and around New York. 

Priscilla Chin

Priscilla specializes in empowering professionals and individuals with diverse backgrounds who are held back by ongoing stress, anxiety, guilt, depression and shame in their personal, social and professional lives. As a female therapist of color, she has a deep sensitivity to the ways gender, culture, spirituality, personal and family history shape an individual's sense of self and the ways they relate to others. Clients who choose to enter this transformative journey with Priscilla may struggle with the ever-increasing pressure to 'achieve'; they may grapple with different cultural and familial values and expectations; they may strive to be freed from past emotional, physical or sexual trauma.

Koren LaVarta

Koren takes a comprehensive and dynamic approach to therapy. She knows firsthand how fully transformative therapy can be and wants all her clients to experience and grow from her work with them. Her goal is to change the way her clients feel and interact with their world; to help them move in the direction they want to go in; to help them take control of their lives and break through barriers; to tap into their strengths and encourage understanding..
