About The Event

As we approach a month of ‘shelter-in-place’ here in NYC, we’re all still adjusting to this brand new lifestyle! We’re learning how to stay home more, juggle face-time dates, and deal with the ever-present 24-news cycle.

Many emotional responses can come up under stressful times, especially while spending time with family and friends or seeing a large increase in the rate of communication via video calls, etc.  At a time like this, our personal boundaries become even more necessary to help keep us emotionally healthy.

In this one hour guided discussion, we will talk about setting boundaries with: family and friends, work, social media and news. Together, we will identify some challenges that can come up and  talk through creative ways to set boundaries during this time!

Israa Nasir is a clinically trained psychotherapist, mental health advocate, and writer.  Her work and interest is in reducing the stigma around mental health, exploring the interaction between mental health, identity, and lifestyle. She hopes to encourage meaningful conversation around mental wellbeing and wellness.

You can get read more of her work at www.israanasir.com

Grab yourself a glass of wine or cup of tea, and join this video call with an open mind and open heart, ready to get a better understanding of how to protect our emotional energy during this time.

Open to all NYC women.

Attendees will be sent specific instructions to join our video call before the event.

Advanced registration required.
