NY Street Art Walking Tour & Lady Lunch
Time & Location
About The Event
Join us for a classic New York saturday, walking and exploring the streets of New York City, learning about their rich street art scene and the histories that birthed them from an expert guide!
From the grand cast-iron maidens in SoHo to the tenements of the Lower East Side, from the bustling streets of Chinatown to the delicious tasty treats found in Little Italy we will dive into the histories and personalities that make these some of the most important neighborhoods in the world. Along the way we will see murals created for The L.I.S.A. Project by internationally-famous street artists and learn about the process and stories behind each piece. Who knows, we might even get lucky and catch an artist at work...
After the tour, we will sit down to a lovely meal to get to know each other further and to chat about all the wonders we've seen!
Audrey is an award winning, life-long photographer (received her first camera at age 4) and a huge history nerd. She moved back to NYC in 1995 and has been exploring the streets since. 10 years ago, she began to notice more and more art making its way into my photos and she started to get to know and make friends with many of the artists who work on the streets of NYC. Her favorite hobby? Watching paint dry.
