Spaces- 15th Floor, 1740 Broadway, New York, NY 10019, USA
About The Event
Safe Horizon provides shelter, counseling, court advocacy, and more for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse and human trafficking. By September of 2018 Safe Horizon will have client advocates in every single precinct in New York City in its effort to provide immediate trauma-informed care to victims of physical and sexual violence.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and we have the opportunity to come together to raise awareness for sexual assault in youth communities, as well as collect pajamas to be passed on to those in need.
Please bring with you a donation of the following:
Pajama pants, sizes Small – 3X in men’s and women’s.
We will gather to learn about the statistics of sexual assault within the youth communities we will be providing pajamas for, and more about the work of Safe Horizon.
We will engage in our own self care and spend time relaxing and reflecting as we create cards and write notes of encouragement and self-care tips to our youth.
