About The Event
Join The Camaraderie for a fun Saturday adventure at New York Botanical Gardens! We'll wander through and marvel at the KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature galleries and installations.
Exclusively at NYBG, Contemporary Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama reveals her lifelong fascination with the natural world, beginning with her childhood spent in the greenhouses and fields of her family’s seed nursery. Her artistic concepts of obliteration, infinity, and eternity are inspired by her intimate engagement with the colors, patterns, and life cycles of plants and flowers.
We'll also be able to take in all the beauty of the New York Botanical Gardens themselves. Established in 1891, NYBG is located on a 250-acre (100 ha) site that contains a landscape with over one million living plants. NYBG operates one of the world's largest plant research and conservation programs. Since 1967, the garden has been listed as a National Historic Landmark, and several buildings have been designated as official New York City landmarks.
Afterwards, we will stroll over to the Bronx's Little Italy and enjoy a delicious lunch together.
Little Italy of the Bronx is a quaint destination with an old-world feel known for Italian cooking, homey eateries & small shops.
